My name is Einar Gjelten, and I am a Norwegian man in my thirties, working full time as a freelance translator from my office in Tynset, Norway. After finishing my Bachelor's Degree in Translation in the spring of 2009, I started working as a translator in addition to a part-time position teaching English. Since 2013, I have translated full time, and I am now well-established with a large group of regular clients.
As a translator, my mindset is to always deliver what my clients expect from me. That includes doing extensive research on terms and concepts when needed, always delivering on time, and keeping professional, friendly and honest communication with my contacts.
I translate from English, Swedish and Danish into Norwegian (Bokmal), and I have experience translating within a large number of fields. Read more about my services.
My main service is translation, and through the years I have delivered several hundred thousand words of quality translations to clients all over the world. Some of my specialities are marketing, travel and tourism, technical and IT/software, but I have experience from a vast number of other fields as well.
Throughout the years I have also amassed considerable experience in transcreation, working on several high-visibility ads for major players in aviation and travel, to mention a couple.
Proofreading and editing are also among my services, and although I primarily focus on translation, I am happy to take on proofreading projects for my clients as well. Needless to say, I have proofread hundreds of thousands of words in my carreer, and I pride myself in doing a thorough job when putting the finishing touches on a text.
